It is featured in the Abbeville Press book, Travels with Van Gogh and the Impressionists by Lin Arison and Neil Folberg. Van Gogh used this style chair as a symbol for himself in a painting he made in 1888. Here Folberg has perched Vincent's chair precariously, upside-down in the café of the Auberge Ravoux, where the sole patron seems to have just departed.
